Greetings from the PE Coordinator

Welcome to the home of all things sporting at Snaresbrook Primary School. In the 2 years I have been in post as PE lead, we have developed a fantastic sporting culture in this school. The children at our school are a massive credit to themselves and their impeccable behaviour makes organising and executing events fun and fulfilling. The PE team at Snaresbrook are outstanding and I feel very lucky and privileged to be working with them.

Woodford Schools Alliance (WSA)

The Woodford Schools Alliance (WSA) is a primary school sporting association based in South Woodford. We combine the sporting resources of our schools to allow us to offer a greater amount of competitive sporting opportunities. We come together to learn, practise and compete at a variety of sports, allowing us to share our practise across several local schools. This expansion of our community gives children from all of the schools within the alliance, better sporting opportunities.

Snaresbrook Squirrels & Snails

These running teams are a community based initiative that looks to help raise money and awareness for good causes.

The Snaresbrook Squirrels are made up of our children. Before each event, the team of children meet and discuss which charity to raise money for.

The Snaresbrook Snails is the parent & teacher version of the squirrels. In November they will be completing their 2nd event.

We had an action packed 2018/19, filled with competitions, trophies, trips to Wembley, visits from SKY News to name but a few.

We are looking to make 2019/20 even bigger!

Project MUGA

The project was first conceived in the summer of 2018 with the aim being, to create a resource that enables us to both deliver high quality teaching and provide better play opportunities for our children. As the project has progressed, so has the vision. Realising the quality and potential of this resource, we have now began to share it within our community with a scope to widening that group. We do this by hosting a growing variety of events and sessions that can be accessed by children and adults  from ours and neighbouring schools.
