Attendance

At Snaresbrook Primary we want children to have the best education possible. That is why attendance is very important to us; we want to aim for 100% attendance for every child! The school day starts promptly at 9AM. There is a soft start to the day from 8.50am when children are expected to enter the classroom and be seated ready for learning at 9.00am. Children who arrive past this time should come to the school office as they will have a late mark.

If your child is going to be late/ collected early for an appointment (e.g. Doctor's appointment) please tell the office before and bring proof of the letter (if you have it).

If your child is going to be absent please call the school office and leave a message on the option 'Child Absent' this will be picked by the school office and noted down.

Morning Playtime

Morning playtime for Year 1 - 6 is from 10:30AM - 10:45AM.

Reception children also have a morning playtime but this is more flexible. Towards the end of the school year the Reception children will join Key Stage 1 children to have set break times.

Lunch Time

Children from Years 1 - 6 have their lunch break from 12:15PM - 1:15PM.

At the beginning of the year the Reception children, while settling in, will start their lunch from 12:00PM - 1:15PM. Towards the end of the year the Reception children will join the rest of the school at the normal lunch time.

Drop off & Collection

At the beginning of the school day, parents are encouraged to take their children into the playground and enter the class through the class door. This is to help build a strong relationship between school and home – our teachers love getting to know their pupils parents! If normal collection arrangements have to be changed (e.g. you are delayed or another person will be picking up your child) please let either the class teacher or the school office know. This helps to avoid any confusion or upset for your child.

Getting to school

Walking is definitely the best option! There are lots of benefits to walking; it’s a lot healthier than getting in the car, it improves the safety for other pedestrians and road users and it respects nearby residents and parking regulations. Alternatively, we do have a bike shed where you can park your bike under a shelter so it doesn’t get wet in the rain.

However, if you do need to travel by car please park wisely and use the 'waiting bays' within the school.

Please note: The school car park is a one way street, please drive though Eagle Lane to gain access to the school with a car.
