Snaresbrook Primary Rugby Team
On Wednesday 16th of November, Ms. Sells and Mr. Sullivan took a mixed team of year 5/6 children to a rugby tournament at Wanstead Rugby Club. Our team competed against 14 other schools in the borough and showed incredible skill and team work. We finished top of our group of 7 and made it through to the semifinals. Unfortunately, a defeat of 4-2 to Bancrofts saw us out of the gold and silver medal position. We played Nightingale A Team in the bronze medal game and drew 4-4. It could have gone either way but we lost the game on the golden goal, finishing in fourth place overall. Although we were all disappointed not to come away with a medal, to place fourth was an amazing achievement for our first competitive tournament. Well done Team Snaresbrook - you were an absolute credit to this school.

They rubbed shoulders with Kelly Smith and Baroness Campbell, Sarena Weigman signed their shirts and Ian Wright played football with them! What if there aren't any official crossings nearby..? These were the themes that 5BF worked through to put together their 'Play in a Day' all about road safety.
